I am a Suffolk based textile illustrator, specialising in
digital print. I recently graduated with a BA Honours degree in
Textile design from Norwich University of the Arts.
My work encompasses a love of the Suffolk landscape, with its
rich layers, textures and colours providing me with a source of infinite inspiration.
Fascinated by the annual change of seasons and unpredictable British weather,
my work revisits and recaptures familiar rural scenes, inspiring work that
evokes memories, history and captures a sense of place and space.
Through watercolour, ink and experimental mark making
studies I depict my subject matter before digitally developing and combining
these to create designs that promote the importance of the environment and our
surroundings; highlighting its beauty and the need for its preservation.
Digital print techniques see my designs realised as
versatile, illustrative fabrics and papers for use in a range of applications;
aimed particularly at the accessories, stationary and gift ware market.
